Each map shows yellow and black sequential numbers placed on direction signs with red arrows at intersections. This will allow new riders to know where they are if they print a map from the web site and take it with them on the ride. The new map will also let regular riders plan different combinations of trail than they normally ride.
We've had several rescues from riders caught after dark where they called in referencing the numbers. We found them in short time. Some green signs may have 10s and 12s denoting kids age groups during our cross country race.
